Car insurance: the right cover for every vehicle in the family
From compulsory third-party cover to comprehensive with no excess. We compare insurers for each car and each driver, and when there is an accident we help you recover what you are owed.
Not every vehicle needs the same insurance
Compulsory motor liability insurance covers damage your vehicle causes to others. From there, each level adds cover: glass, theft and fire with third-party fire and theft, and damage to your own vehicle with comprehensive cover, with or without an excess.
What makes sense for a new premium car is not the same as for the family's second car or a weekend motorbike. We help you tailor each policy so you neither overpay nor fall short.
Worth knowing
In an accident, handling makes the difference: claiming against the other party, challenging a valuation or defending you if you are blamed. That is where a broker shows its worth.
The cover worth having
Third party
Compulsory and voluntary liability for damage to other vehicles, people and property.
Third party, fire and theft
Adds glass, theft and fire, and other cover depending on the insurer.
Comprehensive
Damage to your own vehicle, with or without an excess.
New-for-old
Settlement at the purchase price during the first years, for new vehicles.
Driver cover
Personal accident cover for the driver, which compulsory insurance does not include.
Legal expenses
Recovery of damages and defence against fines and proceedings.
Specific cover depends on the policy and insurer chosen. We set out in writing what each proposal includes.
What we review before recommending a policy
We compare the leading insurers and review the points that, on the day of a claim, decide what you will be paid.
- Named drivers. Everyone who uses the vehicle should be listed, including your children.
- Vehicle valuation. New value, actual value or market value in the event of a total loss.
- Excess. The balance between excess and premium based on how you actually use the car.
- Breakdown assistance. From mile zero and with a replacement vehicle if you need one.
- Business use. If the vehicle is used for work, the policy should reflect it.
Your family's insurance, with the same rigour as your company's
Many of our private clients are business owners and executives who already trust us with their company. We review their personal insurance with the same technical rigour and, if a claim arises, our own claims department, supported by the Group's Legal Department, Trebia Abogados, defends them before the insurer until they are paid.
What clients usually ask us
Which car insurance is compulsory?
Compulsory motor liability, which covers damage to third parties up to the legal limits. All other cover is optional.
Is comprehensive cover with an excess worth it?
It is usually a good option for vehicles of some value: it lowers the premium while keeping cover for major damage. It depends on how you use the car and your claims history.
Can I insure all the family's cars together?
Many insurers offer multi-vehicle terms. We take this into account when comparing.
What should I do if I have an accident?
Fill in the joint accident report if possible, take photos and let us know. We take care of notifying the insurer and claiming your damages.
