High Net Worth: a single insurance programme for everything you have built
High-value homes, art, jewellery, cars, yachts and your family's liability, insured on high net worth terms, with discretion and a single point of contact.
Standard insurance is not designed for your wealth
Standard home policies have low limits for valuables, apply the average clause and settle claims on terms designed for ordinary homes. For significant wealth, that means inadequate cover and badly handled claims.
Insurers specialising in high net worth work differently: they value assets before any claim, insure on an agreed value basis and offer liability limits that match the family's exposure.
Worth knowing
A single coordinated programme avoids gaps and overlaps between policies, and gives you one point of contact for all your assets.
The cover worth having
High-value homes
Main and second homes, with prior valuation and no average clause.
Art and collections
Artworks, antiques and collections, on an all-risks, agreed-value basis, including in transit and on exhibition.
Jewellery and watches
Cover at home, in a safe deposit box and while travelling.
Cars and yachts
Premium and classic cars, and pleasure craft.
Family liability
High limits for the whole family, above those of standard policies.
Household staff
Liability and personal accident cover for domestic staff.
Specific cover depends on the policy and insurer chosen. We set out in writing what each proposal includes.
What we review before recommending a policy
We compare the leading insurers and review the points that, on the day of a claim, decide what you will be paid.
- Inventory and valuation. Professional valuation in advance of the most valuable assets.
- Agreed value. So the settlement is not disputed after a loss.
- Coordination. Policies for all your properties and assets should leave no gaps between them.
- Liability. Limits in line with the family's public and financial exposure.
- Confidentiality. Discreet handling of information about your assets.
Your family's insurance, with the same rigour as your company's
Many of our private clients are business owners and executives who already trust us with their company. We review their personal insurance with the same technical rigour and, if a claim arises, our own claims department, supported by the Group's Legal Department, Trebia Abogados, defends them before the insurer until they are paid.
What clients usually ask us
At what level of wealth does it make sense?
There is no fixed figure. It usually pays off when the value of your homes, art or jewellery exceeds what standard policies cover, or when there are several properties to coordinate.
What is agreed value?
A value agreed with the insurer before any loss, usually after a valuation. In the event of a total loss, that value is paid without dispute.
Does it cover my assets abroad?
High net worth programmes can include properties and assets in several countries, coordinated under one structure.
My company's insurance is already with Trebia. Can you look after mine too?
Yes, and it is the most efficient approach: the same team knows your business and personal situation and coordinates both, including your D&O cover as an executive.
We will prepare a tailored programme for you, in complete confidence
Tell us who you are and one of our specialists will contact you to review your current policies or present comparative proposals. If you are already a Trebia client through your company, let us know.
